What is a varifocal lense?

Varifocal means that the FOV and mm lense of the camera can be adjusted. Most of our cameras have a fixed lens. This means if you purchase a camera with a 3.6mm lense, you cannot change it. A few of our camera have varifocal lenses. These are lenses that can be adjusted after purchase. They will be indicated as varifocal lenses and the adjustably will also be listed. It might say SSC-111WC Varifocal 4-8mm. This means that the camera's lense can be adjusted anywhere between 4mm and 8mm to achieve the desirable Field of View (FOV). Keep in mind this is different than the lense being in focus. All of the cameras we sell already have the lenses in focus for a crisp and clear picture.


What’s the applications for IP camera?

IP cameras can be used in professional security systems and enable live video to be viewed remotely by authorized personnel. Why the DVR cannot control PTZ?

Possible reasons:

1, The PTZ breaks down
2, The PTZ decoder's setting, connection and installation is not correct
3, Part of lines'connection is not correct
4, PTZ setting in DVR’s menu is not correct
5, The protocol of PTZ  and DVR are unmatched
6, The address of PTZ  and DVR are unmatched
7, When connected with many decoders, the remote end of PTZ decoder's A and B line should add a 120Ω resistance to eliminate reflex and match the impedance, or the control of PTZ will become unsteady.
8, The distance is too long
